World SEO Page Rank Race 07/08 Rules and Specifics
These rules and specifics should be read by all entrants and refferers. They refer to the 2007/08 competition and this website.

| Entrance Rules - (Click here for entry form) | |
| • | All entrants must meet the criteria stated on the entry form |
| • | Entrys must be made by the individual/ senior individual (Teams/Organisations/Companys) themselves. |
| • | Of up too 3 example links of pages that entrant has used SEO skills to promote, the primary link will be shown with all promotion relating to that individual/team/organisation/company. |
| • | All entrants should add webmaster [ at ] rankrace.com to thier email whitelist so as to avoid missing competition critical messages. We will not send spam of any sort. |
| • | We would like to ask each entrant to write a short tutorial on one of thier techniques used, in order to provide a small insight into how the pro's operate, or perhaps a brief diary of the 6 months. Any content entrants wish to provide us would be appreciated, and will be displayed with full credits to them. |
| • | There are NO registration fee's and all domain registration and hosting will be provided by us. |
| • | Each entrant must add a link to the bottom of at least one of thier example pages to us (code will be provided by email.) |
| Competition Rules | |
| Format | |
| • | On conclusion of entry's (minimum of 50) we will announce a starting date. This date should be around 14 days after we have chosen our entrants. |
| • | In that 14 days the entrants will each be randomly assigned a brand new domain, including 50mb of hosting and 1 mysql db. The entrants may then prepare a website, which will not be available for public viewing until the competition begins (.htaccess must not allow viewing.) |
| • | In this 14 day period, no page rank should be accumulated. If it is the entrant will be disqualified. |
| • | From the first day of competition, every day statistics will be recorded against every given domain. A rank for each entrance will be displayed in a leaderboard style on the homepage. |
| Competition Site Contet | |
| • | An entrants site may not contain files, references or links related to any of the following: (malware, adware, spyware, hacking or anything that could obviously be described as illegal.) We may remove content at our own discretion. |
| • | In regards to adult content it is forbidden to feature anything more than softcore content and should any part of the site be so it should have sufficient warning provided that underage viewers can neglect to enter. |
| • | In all cases entrants must try to keep the language, images and other content on the site clean, professional and enjoyable by all audiences. |
| • | At all times entrants are to be held responsible for the content displayed on thier given domain. |
| • | During the competition there will be a small amount of our scripting that must be kept at the bottom of all entrants competition pages, . This will include a small graphical link to Rankrace.com. A site disclaimer will also be required to be displayed somewhere visibly on the homepage |
| • | Should there be any deviance from our stated content rules, we retain the right to remove content and disqualify entrants at our complete discretion. |
| Techniques | |
| • | We do not agree with black hat techniques, should any entrant be using a technique which is obviously illegitimate we may disqualify them at our discretion. |
| • | There is no strict rule on what entrants can or cannot use. We want the competition to be as fair as possible so entrants please keep above board so we can see who really is the best SEO in the world. |
| • | As previously stated we would like to do a few content based features from the entrants, and will provide lifetime onsite Blogs to any entrant which would like to write about the competition or SEO technique/related subjects and a life time home for forums, articles, tutorials and anything else they wish to publish to the site. |
| Dates | |
| • | The competition will run for 6 calendar months, from the start date. |
| • | The start and end date's will be announced as soon as all entrants are compiled. |
| • | Once the competition is in swing there will be a countdown on the homepage of Rankrace.com displaying the remaining time. |
| • | Entrants will have a 14 day collection period at the end of the competition to remove any desired files from thier hosting. |
| Prizes | |
| The prizes are as follows: | |
| • | 5 Winners of each catergory - 4 domains (to keep) from the competition as well as thier Gold winning domain, Lifetime feature on this site as World SEO Page Rank Race Winners 2007/08. |
| • | Other Merit Prizes will include: Best Content Award, Biggest Following and others. |
| • | All prizes will be processed within 1 month of the competition ending. |
| • | The top 15 entrants will be guarenteed re-entry into next years competition. |

| • | Refferer scheme will be available in an entry supporting format: |
| • | We will offer refferer links to every website which puts a link to us up, they will need to choose an entrant to support. As the entrants progress up the leader board so too will the refferers that chose to back them. |
| • | Refferers will be shown in order of most reffered links. |
